Toronto Canada, October 2011 – Following the launch of the new Thomson Reuters Book Citation Index on 10 October, Springer is delighted to report that the book series on Computational Risk Management(CRM) have been accepted for inclusion for both “Citation-Science” and “Citation-Social Science”. To discover all book titles at CRM are listed search for ”Computational Risk Management” at http://wokinfo.com/mbl/
This is very good news for the international network of CRM book authors and editors, as it is expected that this initiative will significantly increase the visibility of books and help ensure that their citations are fully recognized.
The Book Citation Index is a product within the Thomson Web of Science. Web of Science includes citation databases such as the Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI) and the Conference Proceedings Citation Index. The Book Citation Index (BKCI) will mean that scholars can now access citation data across all major publication formats.
All included titles will appear in Web of Knowledge as a result of the Book Citation Index launch, helping to reassert the importance of book publishing in academia. Books are indexed at the chapter level, resulting in improved searches and deeper insights into the citing behaviour between books and the wider world of scholarly research.
In this series research monographs, conference proceedings are published. Proposals are welcome !
